Re: AF and ringing ears/tinnitus? by Vegeta 12 y
I have it in my left ear and it started around the time I began to have symptoms of AF though it was much worse at the time. I believe it is related to the copper toxicity aspect of AF and muscle tension (especially of the jaw muscles/sternomastoid).I do have hopes of it disappearing along with other symptoms of AF as the sound does sometimes disappear completely or drop down in volume by 90%.Stress makes it worse as one would expect. 16,334 hits

I heard that the best kind of AF to have is when your ACTH is higher than 32 and if you have problems with your pituitary you need to stay with medication for life.I read on Stop the Thyroid Madness that Addison’s disease is another kind that its impossible to cure but its so rare that some doctor waste more time in adrenal fatigue. How can I know if I have AI or AF? I hope I have AF and specially the kind that I can be cured. 2,662 hits

I think AF is real with its crashes, fears, depressions, etc.Low carb may be dangerous for AFand I’ll start eating some grains.Yesterday I tried an antidepressant and it was like miracle-energy,no bad mood. But I’m scared if that ”miracle” will not further exhaust my adrenals as I’m already in a very late stage AF. 2,674 hits

For example, if your AF is caused by things like digestive issues, heavy metal toxicity or Candida then I think he will do a poor job of helping you and could make things worse. If your AF is caused by stress then I think he can help. The order in which your symptoms occured can give clues as to what is the cause. If your digestive issues happened after or during your AF symptoms then they are likely an effect and not the cause and then Dr Lam might be a good choice. 1,708 hits

Another thing, AF turns the volume on past traumas up to deafening levels...even if you weren’t aware that these events were traumatic when they occurred...chances are, that if you’re obsessing over them while you have AF, they could easily be categorized as traumatic. That’s why AF, while absolutely f***ing horrendous and more painful than words can do justice to go through, it is a ”wake up call” for a lot of people. Something needed to be dealt with, or seen, or processed or changed. 1,597 hits

I really wish more people would write about what their crash is like. C’mon people!!!It’s interesting, several of you mentioned crash symptoms I haven’t had, like tightness in the chest and difficulty breathing. I guess a person’s individual AF crash symptoms vary based on what actually caused your AF. So if you got AF b/c of poor nutrition for example, you’ve got different crash symptoms than someone who had a stress case, or too much adrenaline, or numerous other things. 2,585 hits

I can say from my experience that you need to treat your wisdom tooth, it’s the cause of your half body ache. (I got similar experience several years ago--before I got AF though)However, since now you have AF, you need to make sure (check with your AF doctor) that your body is ready to take the dental treatment (most of the time the treatment is oral surgery). It’s not good if you able to alleviate your tooth ache (and half body pain) but wrecked your adrenal in the process. 6,960 hits

Re: Why AF does not go by itself? by Dr. Lam

AF is often times a reflection of underlying issues that cannot be resolved by rest alone. For example, we see many with unconscious regression that shows up with symptoms similar to AF. Some people have symptoms of AF but not have AF at all if traced far back enough. AF are secondary to other dysfunction, in this case, the mind. This is not the same as saying people have mental illness, but to recognise that our mind does affact our body physically, and that connection is seldom addressed properly. Proper adrenal function includes production of aldosterone. Aldosterone makes your body keep sodium and release potassium.AF causes low aldosterone. If you have _low_ aldosterone your body does the opposite -- it loses sodium and keeps potassium.AF causes people to have low sodium and high potassium. If you believe you have AF, I would be _very_ careful about trying to increase your potassium levels. 4,094 hits

With AF it is normal to feel worse at night. At least for me it was. Why? Look at any adrenal test and the standards are lower at night your adrenals put less hormone out at night so it makes since if they are already fatigued thats when you’ll feel it. Also psych meds screw around with your copper which is highly likely a factor in your AF. Too much copper caused part of my AF from a sustained low zinc level. 1,404 hits

Let me clarify something in my previous post. If AF is being caused by stress or poor diet etc then stress or poor diet is the cause but AF is still the sympton. If these causes are dealt with and you take the appropriate treatment (vitamins, gland extracts etc) to get your adrenals working again, but then still have the same or similar health problems after about 4 to 6 (max) months then there is something else that is wrong and the AF was part of your bodies reactions to this. 4,461 hits

When we refer to stage 3C or 2A we are referring to the stages of AF in accordance to Dr. Lam’s article (which by the way is the best source on the internet that depicts exactly what AF is, personal opinion of course). For my part, I haven’t found the way to ’heal’ AF yet, so I’m still searching. When AF is complicated and it infests itself in several areas of your body, and it’s not just panic... it’s harder to find an easy answer. The more complicated the AF, the more difficult it is to put the pieces together. Not everyone can find the way to heal (or even begin to slightly heal) their AF in a month or so. Also, being online is not stimulating for everyone. Personally, I’m not affected negatively by being on my laptop. But everyone is different. 1,880 hits

AF and hair loss by slowjo

I know with AF you can sometimes have thyroid problems which lead to hair loss. I’ve experienced massive shedding the past few months (close to 40-50 percent on top and it started around the same time my AF worsened)and while it could be partly genetic I have hopes it’s part of my AF. Every time I wash my hair I see 20 hairs in my hand. My question is if AF is indeed causing it does it ever grow back?
